PLEASE NOTE: Conflict Resolution through Theatre does not function as “therapy” or peer mentoring. The issues and skills explored in the class are in general, over-arching terms. At no time are students expected to reveal personal problems or issues. We strive to create a safe atmosphere where students may feel free to speak about their personal issues; however, the focus of the class is geared toward concepts and ideas for the students to integrate into their lives where appropriate.

Students can develop a greater interest in theatre and acting while learning important life skills!
Using innovative techniques, students will explore conflict in drama. Through that exploration, they will better understand the conflict they
experience in their own lives. Students will learn that by examining conflict (and the underlying reasons that create and complicate issues ) they can transform a seemingly hopeless situation into a win-win solution.
Workshops are available for students of Middle and High School ages. The program is offered as a multi-week afterschool or summer program or as an adjunct to regular classes.
Scheduling and programs are designed especially for your school's needs.
The Conflict Resolution Through Theatre Program is designed and copyrighted by Amanda Murray, M.A. and Meg Walker, J.D.
Drama IS conflict!
By combining the personal exploration and revelation of theatre with the societal parameters of conflict resolution skills, students are able to explore their own values and needs in context of how they fit into their classroom, family and the larger society.
Students will learn practical tools and techniques to allow them to take control of their own lives in a peaceful way.
